Indique Dance Company (Dallas, TX) presents Yatra: Discovery through Journey. This production explores the experiences that shape individuals through the various journeys of life. The dancers will perform an ancient Indian dance form called Bharatanatyam. Bharatanatyam originated in the temples of India two thousand years ago and it is marked by intricate rhythmic patterns, beautiful hand gestures, sculpturesque movements, and stylized facial expressions, that all come together to communicate a thought, story, or concept to the audience.
